The Milky Way - viewed from Zambia

While stargazing in southern Zambia with friends the power cut out and the night sky lit up, it was like someone had flicked a switch and turned it on, we thought it was bright beforehand, this was an entire new level. I used the only camera I had on me (my smartphone - Google pixel 8 pro). This image will always remind me of the countless connections and deep, philosophical chats that I had in Zambia.

Meaning Kinsale in Irish, this small coastal village in the south of Ireland is where I call home. This image captures so much of what summers in Kinsale are all about. The simplistic, central compostion is satisfying and the colours are warm and welcoming.

In a world getting ever darker and more grey the city of Toulose find ways to add a pop of colour to daily life in fun and unqiue ways. Even the most simple infrastructure can become a canvas for creation. We should all take a leaf out of their book.

New Years Surf

New years day in Ireland is the last place you would expect to see people in the cold Atlantic Ocean, yet here we are. The wave splits the image and creates a sense of balance that is thrown off by the off centre surfer, who's postion emphasises his motion. The greys and blues give the photo a harsh and cold tone.
